Job Description:
As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures.
- Operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and accurate information is provided.
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and assist with emergency care as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure documentation and post-procedure care.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Stay current with advancements in Cath Lab technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS or equivalent) preferred.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in a Cath Lab or similar clinical environment.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
