Our Cover Supervisor Direct programme is launching in March, and we have a very limited number of places available with reputable secondary schools across Middlesbrough, who have partnered with us and are keen to support people into the profession with school-based and online training.We are looking for people who may possess one or more of the following:Has cared for a child with SEN or additional needs.Has worked within an adult or child-care setting.Has been a Teaching Assistant or cover supervisor in the past and is looking to return.Has worked in the Police, NHS, Care homes, healthcare etc.What the course entails:A two-day unpaid training placement within a secondary school in Middlesbrough.Online training modules to complete.Full Safeguarding Training (online).On successful completion of the 2-day course, you will then be able to work as a cover supervisor in school.As a Cover Supervisor, your role will be to manage classrooms, deliver pre-set lessons, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment during the absence of the regular teacher. You will play a crucial role in ensuring continuity for students and supporting the wider school staff.What you will need:A passion for supporting children within education.A wiliness to go above and beyond to help a child achieve.A good level of literacy and numeracy.Strong communication skills.Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential.
