Empowering Learning are seeking a Design & Technology Teacher to work with one of our amazing schools in Middlesbrough.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, skilled, and committed Teacher of Technology - KS3 to KS4full time from as soon as possible working in one of our very well established secondary school's in Teesside with the enthusiasm and self-belief to support our students as we seek to shape them into the knowledgeable and skilled problems solvers, creatives, and producers of tomorrow. This post would suit a newly, or recently qualified, teacher as well as more experienced teachers. Would you like the opportunity to develop your career, working in a 'good' school, to work within our exciting Technology Department? We want to appoint someone who will make a significant contribution to our Technology Department.

We are excited about the potential of our department. Required from January 2025 this is an opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic teacher of technology across the age and ability range up to GCSE; knowledge of all Technology disciplines is useful, but the role primarily covers textiles and food technology, please note for the right candidate this role could become permanent.

Requirements of successful candidate.

  • Hold a teaching qualification, QTS.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent.
  • Have outstanding teaching practice.
  • Have excellent behaviour management.
  • Have experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback.
  • Have experience of improvement planning.
  • Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
  • Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum.
  • A proven track record of excellent results at KS3/4.
  • Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
