Stafforce are working with a reputable business specialising in port operations to recruit shunter drivers in Teesside. You will be working in a busy terminal environment moving a variety of freight in a safe and timely manner. You will also be responsible for completing relevant paperwork to ensure compliance and must follow all onsite rules.

Due to the nature of the work every worker must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. A pre-employment medical will also be undertaken.

Working times: Due to the nature of port work they operate 7 days a week so weekend working is a requirement for all workers. Shifts run from 0600-1400 and 1400-2200. But additional hours may be required on occasion.

Shunter Requirements:

  • HGV Class 1 Licence : A must-have for the role!
  • Previous shunting experience in a busy environment
  • Great Communication : A positive, clear communicator who works well with others
  • Organised & Efficient : Strong organisational skills to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
