Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people?
We are looking for a passionate Supervising Social Worker to join a successful and GOOD rated North East Team. You will be based in the North Shields office and will support foster carers and children across the region.
What you will do:

  • Provide high-quality supervision and support to foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the children's lives.
  • Write reports and attend meetings.
  • Ensure the well-being of children in foster care.


What we are looking for:

  • Enthusiasm for achieving positive outcomes for children.
  • Commitment to our values: respect, honesty, transparency, reliability, and a child-centred approach.
  • Experience managing a caseload (ideally 13 fostering families).
  • Ability to provide out-of-hours support (on-call system).
  • Relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Knowledge of fostering regulations, child protection, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A car and valid driving license (to meet out-of-hours requirements).
