Social Worker - Children Looked After

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our Children Looked After teams. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing comprehensive social work services to children and families, ensuring their well-being and facilitating positive outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Undertake a comprehensive Social Work service to children and families within the looked after service.
  • Formulate and implement appropriate care plans to meet identified needs.
  • Provide ongoing support as the key worker through home visits, meetings, direct work/observations, and completion of reports and assessments.
  • Maintain high professional standards in line with policy and procedural guidelines, ensuring quality casework recording.
  • Regularly feedback to the Team Manager on issues related to service provision or policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, Dip SW).
  • Registration with Social Worker England (SWE).
  • Must have a full driving license and use of a car with business insurance.
  • Proven experience with service users, particularly looked after children and care leavers.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organisational skills and ability to develop and implement care packages.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external agencies.
