Social Worker - Safeguarding, Care Planning and Children with Disabilities

Join our dedicated team as a Social Worker, focusing on Safeguarding, Care Planning, and Children with Disabilities. This role is crucial in supporting families to ensure that children are safe and their needs are met. You will be instrumental in implementing care plans and working within legal frameworks when necessary to protect children at risk.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Undertake comprehensive Social Work services to children and families within a defined area.
  • Formulate and design appropriate plans to meet identified needs and arrange for their implementation with other agencies.
  • Provide ongoing support to individuals and families as the key worker.
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Feedback any service provision issues to the Team Manager.
  • Demonstrate commitment to equality, data protection, health and safety, and personal development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, Dip SW).
  • Registration with Social Worker England (HCPC).
  • Full UK Driving License and use of a car with business insurance.
  • Experience with service users, particularly looked after children and care leavers.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in partnership with service users, their families/carers, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and departmental policies, including Equal Opportunities.
