Children Looked After Team
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people?
Middlesbrough Borough Council are currently looking for a social worker to join their Children Looked After Team, the post is a full time position with a minimum of 3 months
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in social work, social care, or a related field (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, BA in Social Care).
- Proven experience in working with looked after children, care leavers, or adoption services.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and policies surrounding looked after children and permanence.
- Strong assessment and care planning skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and software for recording and reporting purposes.
