Empowering Learning require a Youth Support Worker to work 1-1 with a student in a SEN school in the Middlesbrough area. The role is 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8.00am-16.00pm but may become permanent for the right person.
The school is very focused on supporting students on their learning journey.
- Hold an NVQ in Health and social care care or relevant qualification and experience
- Previous experience of supporting SEN students
- Be responsive, flexible and sensitive to the differing needs of pupils. Including those with SEND.
- To support a student with SEMH needs
- Experience of behaviours that challenge
- Be able to work 1-1 and with small groups
- Communicate effectively in a variety of situations
- Ability to de escalate situations
- Work flexibly with a commitment to continuity and quality of education. Be focused and driven to ensure that all children fulfil their potential.
- Be able to communicate effective
- If you have a background of working in care then please apply due to transferrable skills
