Empowering Learning require several behaviour support assistants to work 1-1 with students in classroom settings in SEN school/ AP's and PRU's across Middlesbrough and the Stockton area. The roles are 5 days a week Monday to Friday 8.00am-16.00pm but may become permanent for the right person.
If you are an ex prison officer, security guard, sports coaches, mental health worker, mental health nurse, general nurse, recovery worker, care assistants in EMI units, Youth offender support workers or have a passion of supporting students who need that calm influence and are a resillient person then please apply.

- Hold an NVQ in Health and social care care or relevant qualification and experience
- Previous experience of supporting people with Special education needs
- Be responsive, flexible and sensitive to the differing needs of pupils. Including those with SEND.
- To remain calm in challenging situations
- Experience of behaviours that challenge
- Be able to work 1-1 and with small groups
- Communicate effectively in a variety of situations
- Ability to de escalate situations
- Work flexibly with a commitment to continuity and quality of education. Be focused and driven to ensure that all children fulfil their potential.

- If you have a background of working in care then please apply due to transferrable skills
- A caring, passionate and patient person
- Team teach trained would be an asset
- Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
