Cleaning Operative

Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with Middlesbrough College who are recruiting for a Cleaning Operative on a temporary (potential to go permanent) basis.

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary (potential to go permanent)

Location: Middlesbrough College

Hours: 6am - 9am or 4pm - 8pm

Purpose of the Role

This role is for a general cleaner who will cover a range of buildings on the campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean areas and surfaces to specifications in a timely manner.
  • Service toilet areas including replenishing supplies.
  • To clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.
  • To maintain stocks of cleaning materials, order from suppliers where required and to control the usage of materials ensuring the cleaning cupboard is kept tidy at all times.
  • To report any problems on site to the supervisor I account manager so they may be rectified immediately.
  • To take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk by what you do or don't do in the course of your work.
  • Able to follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and machinery.
  • Records information accurately and pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand the cleaning materials potential hazards and be able to interpret CoSHH data sheets.
  • Positive attitude to Health and Safety and ability to report hazards.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Hold an enhanced DBS - Desirable
  • Experience of working within a client facing environment.
  • Experience of providing cleaning services within public areas.
