The Role:
Are you passionate about empowering young people to unlock their potential? We are seeking a dedicated Youth Career Coach to offer expert advice, mentorship, and guidance to young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in transforming lives, helping young people overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and secure sustainable pathways into education or meaningful employment.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of young individuals, offering tailored coaching to help them overcome barriers to education and employment.
• Develop and regularly review personalised SMART Action Plans that guide young people into Employment, Education, or Training (EET).
• Connect clients to valuable educational programs, apprenticeships, and job opportunities that align with their aspirations.
• Provide hands-on help with writing CVs, preparing for interviews, and securing job placements.
• Offer continuous mentoring to keep young people engaged, motivated, and focused on their goals.
• Build partnerships with local organisations to open doors for youth, creating more opportunities for growth and success.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience working with NEET young people or individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Expertise in delivering career advice and connecting young people to practical opportunities.
• Skilled at managing multiple clients and developing personalised support plans.
• Strong mentoring abilities, with a focus on motivation and perseverance.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport and trust with young people quickly.
• Creative and adaptable, able to help clients overcome personal and professional challenges.

Due to the nature of this role, you will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check and there will be regular travel across the region so access to your own vehicle is essential.
