The Job Overview
- Role: Class 1 Night Driver
- Responsibilities:
- Deliver caged tools and equipment to stores across the North of England, North Wales border towns, and occasionally the North-East.
- Maximum of 5 stores per night (3 stores for North-East runs).
- Potential for local store delivery using a pre-loaded 7.5t vehicle (paid at Class 1 rate).
- Safe, efficient, and timely deliveries, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Additional Details:
- Full week of training provided.
- Induction with a driving assessment and H&S/drug & alcohol tests (all paid).
- Start times: Between (Apply online only) hours, with a pre-arranged rota.
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift; minimum 48 hours/week.
- Working Days: Monday to Friday.
Pay Details (PAYE Basis)
- Hourly Rate: 18.00 per hour (standard hours).
Key Requirements
- Licences:
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- Up-to-date CPC Card and Tachograph Card.
- Experience & Insurance Criteria:
- Minimum 24 months of experience as a Class 1 driver.
- Aged 25+ years.
- Maximum 6 minor points on the licence; no major infringements.
- Availability: Immediate start preferred.
