Our esteemed client, a specialist engineering contractor renowned for their pivotal role in crafting sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions, is actively seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join their reactive maintenance team on a permanent basis a for projects in Aberdeen.

With a secure long-term framework in place, this role offers not only job stability but also the invaluable opportunity to collaborate within a seasoned team dedicated to supporting your professional growth.  As a qualified Civil Engineer, you'll step into the role of Sub Agent.  This will be a varied role touching on technical, quality, programming and contractual aspects of project delivery, allowing you to become a dynamic, well rounded Sub Agent.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Maintain a keen awareness of programme constraints and drive works to meet targets.
  • Oversee the management of the construction site, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Attend pre-start and progress meetings on-site, actively contributing insights.
  • Prepare comprehensive site plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Exercise diligent cost control and scheduling.
  • Uphold compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental management plans.
  • Ensure that works progress in accordance with programme schedules and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide detailed reports on contractual milestones with the client.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of an HNC-level education in Civil Engineering.
  • Prior experience working on Scottish Water projects, demonstrating your familiarity with industry-specific requirements.
  • Proficiency in setting out.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a principal contracting environment.
  • Valid SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
  • First Aid Training certification.
  • Desirable: Roads and Street Works certificate.
  • Flexibility for travel and willingness to work away from home, as projects may be located across Scotland.
  • A full UK driver's licence.
