M4 are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 Drivers to join oa busy transport operation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a passion for delivering goods to our valued customers.
Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
- Experience as a delivery driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
