As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering holistic care to those experiencing complex eating disorders.

The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide specialised nursing care and therapeutic support to individuals with eating disorders, ensuring a high standard of patient-centred care. You will work closely with our clinical team, including psychiatrists, dieticians, and therapists, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients with eating disorders, including assessment, planning, implementations, and evaluation of care plans.
  • Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and manage any side effects or complications.
  • Support patients through meal supervision and therapeutic activities, promoting a positive relationship with food and body image.
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the safe management of patients experiencing acute psychological distress.
  • Engage in one-to-one and group therapy sessions, offering emotional support and fostering a therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and review individualized care plans that promote recovery.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure all care practices are in line with NMC standards and clinic policies.
  • Promote patient advocacy and uphold a culture of dignity, respect, and non-judgemental acre.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Previous experience working with mental health settings.
  • Strong clinical skills, with a thorough understanding ofmental health legislation and safeguarding policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with patients and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A caring and empathetic approach, with a commitment to supporting individuals on their recovery journey.
  • Flexibility to work across shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
