Daytime Healthcare are assisting a top national mental healthcare provider to source a Clinical Psychologist to join the team in West Sussex. This clinic is a new specialist inpatient service for Adults with Eating Disorders. This is an opportunity to change lives for the better and help some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Reporting directly to the consultant clinical psychologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments.

As an Inpatient Psychologist you will be:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessments, and individualised evidence-based psychological interventions for young adults with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.
  • Providing evidence-based and formulation-driven psychological perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning and decision-making.
  • Managing a complex caseload as the individual psychological therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, in addition to facilitating group psychological interventions and family/systemic interventions.
  • Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews of psychological treatment.
  • Providing high-quality clinical supervision to the Assistant Psychologist.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent if trained overseas).
  • Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.
  • We will also consider applicants from newly qualified psychologists, or from those who are about to qualify (please clearly state in the application when you will receive HCPC registration).
  • Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders, and the impact on young adults and their families.
  • Experience working with individuals with eating disorders and their families, in either community or inpatient services.
