Youth Mental Health Worker - Midhurst

A truly rewarding opportunity has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Midhurst. This is an excellent position to gain valuable experience while making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

This school places a strong focus on supporting students diagnosed with Autism, ensuring they receive the necessary interventions to aid their development and education.

As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children manage their emotions, regulate their mental health, and develop healthy coping strategies.

Your Role:
  • Supporting and shadowing the class teacher.
  • Providing 1:1 support for SEN students.
  • Assisting in delivering engaging and exciting lessons.
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), Autism, and complex needs.
  • Implementing behavioural management strategies where necessary.

Who Should Apply?

Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in sports, art, drama, or psychology will be at an advantage. Graduates in relevant fields are also encouraged to apply.
