Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity working for a specialist manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk that you could be perfect for!

We're looking for a mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join this ever-expanding manufacturer as they look to expand their circa 200 strong team!

You will be tasked with the upkeep and maintenance of 16 multispindle lathes and further production machinery, with these operating on a 24/7 schedule.

The starting salary on offer is dependant on the candidate, however more experienced engineers could be earning circa 40,000!

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties:

• Maintaining and providing upkeep to 16 multispindle lathes
• Full disassembly/reassembly of components and machinery
• Replace bearings, conveyor belts etc
• Fault finding of machinery
• Operate around a 24/7 working schedule
• Reactive and PPM procedures

Desired Skills:

• Manual lathe operation experience
• 5 - 10 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Flexibility to work to work outside of standard working hours when required
• Ability to transition your skills to other machines and aspects of production

Previously successful candidates have come from a background in manufacturing and transitioned to maintenance, providing them a strong knowledge of lathes and other relevant machinery

The standard working hours for this position will be 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (45 hour week), with some flexibility being necessary.
