We are currently seeking a dynamic Religious Studies Teacher to join a school in Lancaster on a long-term basis, starting January working 3 days per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Religious Studies to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 would be advantageous.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate reliability, commitment, and the qualities of a good role model including compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and contribute to the school’s objectives.
  • Maintain high standards of education and uphold the school’s principles and values.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Recent and relevant experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
