Description

Financial Accountant (Reporting)

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monitor variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
Identify risks and opportunities in financial performance.
Conduct product costing and margin analysis to ensure optimal pricing strategies.
Monitor operational expenses and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to understand cost drivers.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with industry and statutory regulations.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure business liquidity.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
Ensure the implementation and monitoring of robust internal controls.
Continuously improve financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Support ERP system implementation and upgrades, ensuring data accuracy.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

Studying toward ACCA, CIMA or relevant career experience
A thorough understanding of accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software, Excel and other MS Office tools
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
