Description

Financial Accountant (Reporting)

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in financial performance.
  • Conduct product costing and margin analysis to ensure optimal pricing strategies.
  • Monitor operational expenses and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to understand cost drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with industry and statutory regulations.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure business liquidity.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of robust internal controls.
  • Continuously improve financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support ERP system implementation and upgrades, ensuring data accuracy.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Studying toward ACCA, CIMA or relevant career experience
  • A thorough understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
