Interim position (< 12 months)

Macildowie are working with a leading business within Financial Services to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their Group Reporting team, based in Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to play a key role in the coordination and delivery of financial reporting at a group level. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, working closely with internal and international finance teams. This role requires a strong technical accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions.

What You'll Be Doing:

Coordinating financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Preparing group consolidated financial statements and balance sheets across UK and international entities.
Ensuring compliance with financial reporting regulations and disclosure requirements.
Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring audit readiness.
Working closely with technical accounting teams to provide solutions for new transactions and complex reporting requirements.
Liaising with external auditors and responding to audit queries.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Need:

To be Part or Fully Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
Experience working in a finance, cost, or financial reporting function.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial reporting standards.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modelling.
The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
To be driven, with a strong work ethic.
Keen eye for detail, with an analytical mind.
Financial services experience (desirable but not essential).
Knowledge of Oracle Financial systems (preferred).
