Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Milton Keynes
The company are looking for a Financial Controller with a mixture of financial management and commercial experience to join their team on a permanent basis.
A Logistics and Transport company based near Milton Keynes is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. The company are a multi-site business who are about to go through a growth phase so this is a great time to be joining. There is possible long term scope for this to progress into a Finance Director position in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis and commentary to support on strategic commercial decision making.
- Handle scenario analysis to support tender submissions.
- Responsible for all month end submissions.
- Maintain general ledger accounts including the determination of journal entry requirements and preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Conduct preliminary review of financial reports prior to final close of general ledger.
- Conduct monthly general ledger account reconciliations and other financial controls in compliance with company policy.
- Perform analysis of financial results as part of the financial and operational review process.
- Continually look to reduce company costs and spend associated with related responsibilities.
- Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption.
Experience and attributes required:
- Professional qualification in accountancy or finance (such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Essential
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a large, multi-component company - Essential
- Experience of working in a logistics or supply chain industry - Desirable
- Excellent Financial Modelling capabilities - Essential
- Strong ability to liaise with senior stakeholders - Essential

Remuneration: £65,000 - £70,000 + excellent bonus
Type: Permanent
Work type: hybrid (2 x home - 3 x Office)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week
