Financial Controller - Milton Keynes - £38k + excellent benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our clients team. Reporting to the Board of Directors and have full responsibility for the day-to-day financial management and running of the accounting operation.

  • Sage 50 Accounts
  • Maintaining purchase ledger, coding, and posting invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations
  • Credit control, including pricing jobs, raising sales invoices, and emailing them to customers, sending out statements and all related queries
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations, including coding and posting receipts to nominals
  • Processing expenses
  • CIS payments
  • Year-end accounts preparation - supplying Accountants with relevant information and posting Year-end journals
  • Depreciation & prepayments
  • Recording P11D information
  • Producing monthly reports including detailed sales analysis, customer sales analysis, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Maintain monthly cashflow forecasts
  • Sage Payroll - monthly payroll and pension, including processing journals to Sage 50 and filing EPS/FPS to HMRC
  • Utilities - oversee gas & electricity accounts, set up new accounts and renew contracts

Qualifications Required:

  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management
  • Excellent knowledge of Sage 50 accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of Office 365 with advanced Excel skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a pro-active attitude to any task at hand
