Description

Cost Control and Analysis:

  • Monitor and manage all aspects of cost control, ensuring that costs are accurately captured and analyzed.
  • Perform in-depth cost analysis on raw materials, production, distribution, and overheads, identifying trends and areas for cost reduction.
  • Develop and maintain systems for accurate and timely reporting of product costing and profitability by SKU, category, and region.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and regular forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Track and report on budget performance, comparing actual results with forecasts and identifying variances.

Variance Analysis:

  • Analyze and report on variances between actual costs and budgeted costs, investigating the root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis reports, highlighting key findings to management.

Financial Reporting:

  • Produce and present financial reports to management, focusing on cost structure, profitability, and performance metrics.
  • Provide accurate and timely month-end reporting, including cost center performance and variance explanations.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a management accounts position producing the full month end pack
  • Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
