Our client, a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in the Milton Keynes area, is seeking an experienced and driven Tax Manager with a strong desire to advance their career. This role offers a clear and structured pathway to Directorship, making it an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional eager to contribute significantly to the firm's growth and success.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the tax team to deliver high-quality tax services to their clients
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow their client base
- Providing tax advice and guidance to clients on a range of issues, including personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring their clients are compliant with relevant tax laws
- Working closely with other teams within the firm to provide a seamless service to their clients
- Contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the firm as part of the senior management team
The ideal candidate?
- CTA qualified or equivalent
- At least 8 years' experience in tax compliance within a similar practice environment, with a strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws
- Proven experience in managing a team of tax professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm
