Our client is a small but growing accounting firm that is seeking a Qualified Accountant based in Milton Keynes on a full-time permanent basis.
Summary of the Qualified Accountant Role
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000
Location: Milton Keynes
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday
Our client specialises in providing accountancy solutions to contractors and the self-employed. They want someone specialising in managerial accounting to help oversee operations and manage the team's workflow.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Accountant
- Oversee and audit in-house bookkeepers.
- Prepare and submit year-end accounts, corporate tax returns and VAT submissions.
- Managerial Accounting including generating and analysing financial statements, budget plans, profit and loss statements and forecasting.
- Accounting services on behalf of self-employed clients including bookkeeping, self-assessments and preparation and submission of year end accounts.
Requirements for a successful Qualified Accountant
- Qualified AAT Level 4 or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of Managerial Accounting experience.
- Proven Bookkeeping experience.
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks.
- Excellent working knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
