Qualified Management Accountant

Your new companyHays are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our local clients' finance team, this innovative PE backed business is going through a period of growth and looking to expand its team.

Your new roleThe role will report into the Group Financial Controller and the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial reports, analysing financial data, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide financial insights.
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Continuously improve financial processes and systems.

What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes.

• Qualified / Finalist (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
