ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant with CTA Qualification (Desirable)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ACCA/ACA qualified accountant who is ideally in the process of completing, or has already completed, the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification tto join a busy Accountancy Practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering financial expertise, tax planning, and advisory services to our clients. This role offers significant growth opportunities in a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory accounts and financial statements in compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Tax Compliance & Advisory: Provide expert advice on corporate and personal tax matters, including the preparation and submission of tax returns (corporation tax, VAT, personal income tax).
  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for businesses and individuals, taking into account current tax legislation and changes.
  • Audit: Manage and participate in audit assignments to ensure compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Management: Act as a key contact for clients, providing timely, relevant financial information, and assisting with any financial or tax-related queries.
  • Financial Analysis: Support business decision-making by preparing financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including those related to taxation and corporate governance.
  • Team Support: Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • ACCA or ACA Qualified (mandatory).
  • CTA qualification started or completed (desirable).
  • Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, and tax advisory.
  • Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and regulations.

Desirable Experience:
  • Previous experience in a client-facing role within an accountancy practice.
  • Knowledge of financial software packages (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Experience in tax planning for corporate and personal clients.
