They are currently expanding their financial accounting team and are looking for a talented Senior Financial Accountant to contribute to their ongoing success.

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Financial Accounting Team during an exciting phase of growth. This role is essential in providing effective and efficient services within a robust control environment to the businesses supported by the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC), while adhering to best practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Coordinate, manage, and review balance sheet reconciliations for UK, Middle East, and European legal entities.

  • Fixed Assets Oversight: Oversee the fixed assets process to ensure compliance with Group rules for the businesses supported by the FSSC.

  • Tax and Legal Compliance: Review all tax, legal, and statutory obligations, including VAT returns and EC Sales lists, ensuring all deadlines are met.

  • Month-End Support: Assist the FSSC team with month-end processes, including posting accruals, journals, and performing other essential month-end duties.

  • KPI Management: Ensure services meet established KPI targets and coordinate the review and agreement of KPIs with various businesses and departments.

  • Year-End Assistance: Support the Financial Accounting team with Year-End exercises and preparation of Statutory Accounts.

  • Audit Deliverables: Manage and assist the FSSC team with both Internal and External audit deliverables.

  • Payment Process Support: Assist in the process of payment run reviews and bank authorizations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Full qualification in ACCA/ACA/CIMA, demonstrating strong technical accounting expertise.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 16 (Leases).
  • Proficient IT skills, especially in advanced Excel (including macros); experience with SAP is a plus.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude combined with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
