Description
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Accountant:
- Drive the fixed asset management process, including oversight of additions, disposals, and maintenance of robust internal controls
- Lead the monthly inventory valuation process for Ireland operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage critical balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities, providing detailed analysis and commentary
- Coordinate and deliver group reporting requirements, identifying process improvements and implementing best practices
- Spearhead cash flow management and forecasting
- Own the UK VAT return process and oversee various tax compliance matters
- Support statutory audit processes and preparation of annual accounts
Profile
The Ideal Senior Financial Accountant:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and experience with multi-entity reporting
- Proven track record in process improvement and implementing robust financial controls
- Excellence in stakeholder management with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proactive problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
