Accounts Assistant - Milton Keynes (Hybrid) - Up to £33,000 + Study Support

A reputable company based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This hybrid role offers the perfect blend of office-based work and remote flexibility, providing an excellent opportunity for career progression with full study support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring they are correctly coded and authorised.
  • Perform bank and supplier statement reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage and process employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of payment runs and monitor accounts payable balances.
  • Support the accounts receivable process, including raising invoices and chasing overdue payments.
  • Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Provide financial data and reports to support the finance team in decision-making.

Key Requirements:

  • Actively studying or willing to study towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant role is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently when required.
