We're seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant for a position within our clients Accounting & Finance department based in Milton Keynes. The role entails a variety of accounts tasks including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Reporting, in the FMCG industry.

Description
Accounts Assistant
Sales & Purchase Ledger Management:
- Process supplier invoices, match them with delivery notes, and ensure timely payment.
- Handle customer invoices, issue statements, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with company financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure account balances are correct.
Processing Payments:
- Assist in preparing payment runs for suppliers and managing customer receipts.
Expense Management:
- Review and process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Credit Control:
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and chase overdue payments to improve cash flow.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an accounts department
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong commitment to ethical practice in accounting.
