An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic team within a leading financial institution. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, providing and developing effective financial processes, accounting, and reporting with strong independent control. The successful candidate will be based in Milton Keynes and will work closely with staff at every level across the organisation.

Salary: £147 per day (Umbrella)

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract Length: 6 months

Working Pattern : Hybrid (3 days a week on site)

Responsibilities

  • Processing and payment of invoices to 3rd party suppliers
  • Responding to queries from key stakeholders such as clients, and internal/external audit
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Investigating and resolving payment queries
  • Performing weekly and monthly reconciliations
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with customers
  • Ensuring compliance with the internal control environment

Person Specification:

  • Experience in working in a high volume environment; experience in accounts would also be desirable
  • Good understanding of accounting processes
  • Proficient in excel skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Great customer service skills
