About the Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of key financial processes, including commission payments and customer rebate schemes. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing valuable financial insights and support. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of key accounting processes in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What your role as an Assistant Accountant will involve:

  • Managing and overseeing the monthly and quarterly commission payment processes.
  • Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of commission calculations and adjustment requests.
  • Communicating targets and commission achievements across the business.
  • Analysing customer rebate schemes and processing rebate payments.
  • Investigating and resolving billing errors to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Supporting the month-end accounting process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

To set you up for success, we are looking for the following skills and experience

  • Finance/accounting experience, ideally in a commercial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Excellent communication skills – comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, managing multiple deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Experience with commission calculations or rebate analysis is a plus.
