The Design Engineer will play a critical role in conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing structural projects that utilize advanced steel. The ideal candidate will be proficient in leveraging high-performance steel materials to create efficient and innovative designs across a range of industries, from civil infrastructure to commercial and industrial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Design & Analysis:
Develop detailed structural designs using advanced steel materials, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, AISC, BS). - Material Application:
Utilize knowledge of advanced steel alloys, high-strength steels, and performance-based design to optimize structural solutions. - 3D Modeling & Simulation:
Create and analyze 3D models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Tekla Structures, or equivalent tools. Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to predict performance. - Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable. - Innovation:
Research and implement emerging technologies and techniques in advanced steel design and fabrication processes. - Project Documentation:
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure accurate documentation and version control. - Quality Assurance:
Review designs and calculations, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and compliance with project requirements
