Shifts: Monday to Friday

Location: UK Wide

Salary: £54,000  (OTE £70,000)

Benefits: 10% Bonus + Private Healthcare + Overtime (1.5X/2.0X) + 6% Pension + Training + Company Car + Fuel Card

The Company:

ATA are proud to partner with a key business within Automated Logistics that design, manufacture and maintain highly automated state of the art systems within the warehousing industry. With operations in nearly 100 sites across the UK (and growing!) the demand for their services has increased hence why they are currently looking to add to the Field Service team.

With a UK Turnover of around £100m they can offer the right Field Service Engineer great job security and some fantastic training opportunities too. You will be sent abroad within your first 6 months of employment to their head quarters for specialist training on all of their highly automated machinery.

The Role:

The Role of Field Service Engineer will include the following:

  • Travelling the UK to different customer sites completing Maintenance on all of the highly automated machinery including: Robots, Shuttles, Conveyors, Hanging Garment Systems.
  • Completing Project work at customer sites to improve the reliability of the machines
  • Working as a technical expert liaising directly with customers, keeping them informed of your progress
  • Working Electrically on Motors, Sensors, Switches, Relays, Contactors, Invertors,
  • Mechanically working with: Bearings, Belts, Rollers, Gearboxes, Shafts, Pneumatics, Chains
  • Working an on call rota one in four weeks (Typically only called out once within this week)

The Candidate:

The Right Candidate for the role of Field Service Engineer will be/have:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification
  • Experience working within Maintenance/Field Service Engineering
  • Be confident Fault Finding Electrically and Mechanically
  • Be happy with stay away once or twice a week
  • UK Drivers License
  • Have a pro-active and positive attitude to Engineering – this is a customer facing role
  • Willing to take on extra training given by the company
