This role as an Asbestos Surveyor requires specific qualifications that allow you to become successful within the role; the most crucial requirement is to hold the P402 qualification. Other requirements that give you the edge over the competition include holding a full UK driver's license, strong knowledge of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. My clients require you to have proficient computer skills to allow you to complete all surveys to an exceptional level.

Due to the responsibility you would acquire if you were successful, the Asbestos Surveyor position demands highly specialised qualifications. Being a leader in the field, the consultancy has very high standards, and as such, the asbestos surveyor is expected to meet those requirements. As a result, you will have significant responsibilities like:

  • Conducting thorough asbestos surveys in accordance with HSE guidelines.
  • Recording accurate and detailed survey findings using digital or paper-based systems.
  • Assessing the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
