Scope of Work

  • Automotive electrical and electronic test relating to HMI (Human Machine Interface), Navigation / Infotainment systems / Telematics and mobile phone applications.
  • Working to a project schedule to complete test activities in a timely manner.
  • Execute test cases aligned to defined scenarios both statically and dynamically.
  • Analyse test results and report on the quality of the software. This includes identifying and reporting on defects, tracking the status of defects, and communicating with stakeholders about the quality of the software.
  • Basic vehicle disassembly to access key components within the vehicle.
  • Use of vehicle diagnostic tools

Qualification and experience:

  • A working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for report writing & presentation preparation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be able to manage and prioritise their work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Interest in latest smartphones and applications
  • Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
  • Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
  • C&G / BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, Electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
