Purchase Ledger Clerk - Immediate Start£26,000 starting salaryMonday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (with half-hour break)Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm (with half-hour break)

We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a dynamic and fast-paced team within the finance sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in purchase ledger management and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have had experience in SAP and Excel, with an understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and logging high volumes of supplier invoices
  • Assisting with payment processing and reconciliations
  • Filing and organising supplier documentation
  • Responding to supplier queries and forwarding them to the appropriate team member
  • Maintaining the supplier database and helping set up new suppliers
  • Supporting the finance team with general administrative tasks
  • Helping with emails and post management

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role
  • Familiarity with VAT, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial procedures
  • Experience in Excel and ideally SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and keyboard accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Confident, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure

This is a full-time position offering a competitive starting salary of £26,000 with working hours from Monday to Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm) and Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm), each day including a half-hour break.
