We currently have an exciting oppitunity for a Semi Skilled Fabricator to start at our clients based in Milton Keynes.

Job Summary:The Semi-Skilled Fabricator will assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal components. This role involves working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, and other metals. The ideal candidate should have some experience in metalworking, be familiar with hand and power tools, and be capable of following instructions to perform tasks efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in Fabrication: Work alongside skilled fabricators to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts according to specifications.- Operate Tools: Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery such as grinders, drills, and saws to perform fabrication tasks.- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move materials to and from the work area.- Read Blueprints: Interpret basic blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine work procedures.- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications and identify any defects or areas for improvement.- Welding Assistance: Assist in basic welding tasks, including preparing materials for welding and performing simple welds under supervision.- Maintain Work Area: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.- Documentation: Complete required documentation for work performed, including time sheets and quality checklists.

Qualifications:- Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field is preferred but not Essential

Skills and Competencies:- Basic knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.- Familiarity with hand and power tools.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Other Requirements:- There may be requirement to work alternating shifts - Earlies, lates, Nights- Must be able to pass a medical- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
