Job Purpose

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and presentation, ensuring the highest quality of dishes served. Working under the guidance of the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef, you will lead junior chefs in the kitchen, maintaining standards and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following established recipes and standards. Ensure the use of fresh ingredients, precise measurements, and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Quality Control: Uphold high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular taste tests and inspections to ensure dishes meet quality criteria. Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory for your section, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to innovate and refine menu items. Facilitate effective communication within the kitchen team.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict sanitation and safety guidelines. Report any concerns or equipment maintenance needs.
  • Sustainability: Support and promote sustainability initiatives within the kitchen.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or similar high-end environment is desirable.
  • Rosette Experiance is welcomed
  • Strong guest service skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Professional grooming and presentation standards.
  • A clean UK driving license is required.
