Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a 60 bedroom Georgian manor house hotel, in a picturesque village near Milton Keynes. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Chef to join their team. The surrounding countryside area is full of fantastic eateries and locals who like to use them, so there is a real chance to build on the hotels customer base.

What's in it for you?

Working as part of a management team with a real passion to continue to progress the hotel and its food operation, you will get the chance to create your own menus in line with the goals of the hotel and work with local suppliers to wow the guests. You will be responsible for the day-to-day food operation of the hotel restaurants, private parties, bespoke weddings and afternoon teas.

  • £40,000-45,000 + GP bonus

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning menus
  • Making sure food is of the right quality and price.
  • Managing stock and ordering food from suppliers
  • Controlling a budget and keeping accurate records.
  • Managing health and hygiene procedures.
  • Organising the staff duty rota, recruiting, training, and developing staff.
  • Coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
