Interaction Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef or Head Chef for an innovative, trendy and brand new site in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (MK15) The vacancy is for a professional Sous Chef who has experience in fresh food and a passion for creating exciting new menus. 

The rota: Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30 (7am to 3:30pm)

The salary: c.£30'000-£32'000 per annum plus benefits

The candidate:

  • Must be a professional Chef with at least 12 months experience of working as a Sous Chef within a Contract Catering or Hospitality setting
  • Will be a driven, team oriented, innovative, passionate, forward-thinking and creative Chef
  • Shall live close to Milton Keynes MK15, ideally drive and have access to a reliable vehicle given the location and shift start time
  • Can evident a solid Cheffing career history in the form of an up to date CV with references to match experience and skills
  • Could be either a time-served Chef or possess qualifications in professional cooking such as NVQ or City & Guilds
  • Might have experience in fine dining in high end restaurants, should be used to high quality / high volume 
  • May be a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef looking to step down and work a standard day time rota to exclude weekends
  • Would have a calm, methodical and logical approach to designing a fun modern menu
  • Should have a can do attitude, be a team player, be enthusiastic, have excellent communication and timekeeping skills
  • Shall be well adverse in fresh produce cooking and have an interest in healthy meals
  • Can design desirable soups, salad bars, healthy breakfast choices and lunch time mains
  • May be experienced in and/or have certification and/or food allergens, intolerances, food groups etc
  • Shall have access to Food Level 2 or higher in Food Safety / Food Hygiene
  • Must have evidence of being second in command, being the leader when Head Chef and/or Exec Chef in absent
  • Will reside in the UK, ideally in central Milton Keynes and be able to evident UK Right to Work
  • Could be a Chef seeking an opportunity to grow from Sous Chef to Area Manager or Catering Manager
  • Can deliver seasonal, fresh, exciting menus to the customer
