Milecross Financial is one of the leading financial advice firms in the UK, providing investment, pensions, mortgage and protection advice across multiple locations in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. We a business going through considerable and exciting growth and are looking to appoint a new Regional Manager for our South-East England, Midlands and West region as a result of the retirement of the current role-holder.

About the role

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced and high calibre business development and management professional.

This is an exciting and expansive role. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and performance of business in the region, working closely with advisers and other colleagues, along with identifying and progressing other opportunities for growth in that region and sometimes other UK geographies to more widely support Milecross’s business objectives. The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The role includes coaching and developing practices and advisers that join Milecross creating strong business plans and overseeing progress. You will play a pivotal role, working closely with the CCO, in supporting and developing a strong and creative strategy for a strong and healthy new division of the Milecross business. You will also be a key member of the management team, using your experience to create and supporting broader business initiatives and support other business development activities and regions as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

- Develop and deliver a strong growth agenda for the region, which will include both organic growth and embedding acquired businesses and client books.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the operations in the region and across the wider group as required, with a particular focus on guiding incoming practice principals, key advisers and practice management.

- Study and assess the commercial performance of the region, including growth, profitability, and cost management.

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, expand the customer base, maximise our offering for clients and encourage business growth.

- Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.

- With the support of our supervisory structure, ensure that all financial services activities within the region comply with Openwork, Milecross and industry regulatory requirements

- Along with the wider Milecross management team build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts and providers within the region.

- Stay updated on market trends, competition, and customer preferences to make informed decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.

- Identify and mitigate potential risks that may impact Milecross Financial Solutions

- Be a proactive and key part of the Milecross management team, setting positive forward agendas and strategies for success.

Required Experience:

- Considerable experience in the financial services industry over many years, including a track record of successful roles across sales, business development and/or business strategy.

- Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including investments, mortgages, insurance, and wealth management.

- Proven track record in helping to deliver strong and successful business development strategies and plans

- Good understanding of financial advice commercial models.

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of financial professionals.

- Excellent relationship and networking skills

- Familiarity with financial regulations and a commitment to maintaining compliance within the region.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess regional performance and make data-driven decisions.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and internal teams.

- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Willingness to travel within the region and across the UK as needed.
