  • Summary:
    Bis Henderson is looking for a Field Sales Manager covering to join a leading provider of transport and 3pl supply chain solutions across the nation. This role focuses on increasing client volume and productivity, particularly in the South of England region. The Sales Manager will nurture existing client relationships and actively pursue new sales opportunities to drive growth. We are seeking a candidate with strong warehousing, transportation, and distribution services and commercial acumen and a successful history in sales development and client management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with current clients while actively seeking new opportunities within your designated area.
  • Engage in contract and rate negotiations, demonstrating a thorough grasp of associated expenses.
  • Oversee customer management within your area, promptly addressing customer inquiries and ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
  • Report directly to the Sales Director, showcasing autonomy and a proactive sales mindset.
  • Continuously evaluate customer requirements, implementing improvement strategies, and providing value-added solutions.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a logistics services provider is essential.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, pursuing, and chasing sales leads, ultimately closing new business and developing the account.
  • Self-motivated person with a drive to succeed in a sales role and a proven track record in sales development and relationship building.
  • Proficient in engaging with senior management, key stakeholders, and clients at various levels, including Board level.
  • Strong organisational skills, and an ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
