Are you a passionate and proactive Sales Manager? Do you possess the determination and drive to lead, motivate and coach the successful performance of the Sales Team? If so, this could be the perfect job for you!

Our established, Milton Keynes based client that specifically supports B2B customers within the automotive industry, is looking for an established Sales Manager to drive their multi-functional sales team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer experience, along with client satisfaction.

Your duties as a Sales manager will include but are not limited to:

  • Setting and communicating clear monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Planning and organising the weekly and monthly schedule of work, including individual and team meetings that foster discipline, accountability and sharing of information.
  • Ensuring the sales team rigorously follow sales process to engage with corporate decision makers and qualify their needs, identify opportunities and establish discount agreements that align with their requirements.
  • Providing hands-on support and coaching on sales activities, helping to qualify complex or strategic opportunities and close deals.
  • Staying abreast of latest industry news and developments.
  • Tracking and analysing the team’s sales performance using KPIs, sales data and reporting to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement with data-led decisions.
  • Monitor the sales pipeline and forecast sales progress, reacting to potential shortfalls and ensuring targets are met and opportunities are maximised.
  • Where performance falls short of expectation, conduct root cause analysis to determine underlying issues.
  • Conducting 121 performance reviews, providing regular feedback and coaching to the team on their performance and development areas to help them grow and reach their potential.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, as well as internal policies and procedures.

To be a successful Sales Manager you must have:

  • Experience of working in the automotive industry would be preferable.
  • The ability to demonstrate driving behaviours, setting pace and intensity.
  • Experience of leading desk-based or inside sales teams.
  • Expertise in developing sales strategies tailored to corporate B2B, including market analysis, opportunity management and sales process optimisation.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), to effectively engage with team members, clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to negotiate and close deals.
  • Experience in using CRM software, specifically Salesforce.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, colleagues and customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, trust, and loyalty which are critical to the company’s success.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a track record of delivering a high-quality service.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in dealings with others.
  • Proficient at producing clear, insightful sales reporting in multiple formats including Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
