Do you have experience working on a civil engineering project focusing on rail, roads, earthworks and structures?
My client, a tier 1 civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Section Engineer to join them on a long term freelance basis. You will be working on a £130m project based in Milton Keynes where your main focus will be working on the quality assurance elements of the contract. The selected candidate will be reporting into the Head of Quality and will continue for roughly 6 months.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Site visits, managing all paperwork and the QA process on site.
- Liaising with NEC Supervisor and Adopting Authorities
- Arrange inspections of Quality (Quality Inspector type competence) and collate necessary evidence of approvals
- Collect and collate quality assurance evidence and documentation
- Liaise with Sub-Contractors and Site Supervision as well as the Engineering team
- Liaise with the Client's and stakeholder's representatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Have previous experience as a Section Engineer in the rail environment
- Knowledge of heavy civils
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
