Our client is a 24/7 high availability environment, working within a fast-paced data streaming industry. This is an exciting opportunity to support the business as they look to level up their application estate, hosted in Azure.Â
As the Lead SysOps Engineer, you will sit within the Operations team, providing support through monitoring and alerting applications and cloud-based infrastructure. You will act as a Lead to a small team of Cloud SysOps Engineers, ensuring you are driving the team forward to keep them on track with BAU and project work.
About you, the Lead Cloud SysOps Engineer –
- Application 2nd / 3rd Line support experience
- Azure and Linux experience
- Development language here is Java so that would be a nice to have but NOT a dealbreaker! Any other development language is fine, lets still talk
- Experience working closely with development teams on third line support issues
- Knowledge of message orientated middleware such as Red Hat AMQ, Apache Artemis, or IBM MQ. (nice to have)
- Experience with automation tooling such as Ansible or StackStorm. (or similar)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerisation (nice to have)
- Working knowledge of networking technologies, such as routing and switching. (nice to have)
- Experience with destructive application testing using testing tools such as JMeter. (nice to have)
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python or Bash. (nice to have)
