WSR are looking for a CNC Operator to join the team of our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.Location: Milton Keynes 

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 4:30pm. 3:30pm finish on a FridayReports To: Production Manager

CNC Operator Job Overview:Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join their team in the fire door assembly factory. The primary responsibility of this role is to machine doors to customer specifications in preparation for fitting into door sets. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality of our products.

CNC Operator Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up a pod and rail multi-axes CNC machine.
  • Machine doors to exact customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings for programming and machining.
  • Ensure all machined products meet quality and specification standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience running and setting a CNC machine is required.
  • Understanding of CAD drawings is essential.
  • Ability to program CNC machines based on CAD drawings is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in woodworking is advantageous.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (efforts are made to limit this as much as possible).
  • Work in a noisy environment (ear plugs provided).

  • Adaptability to changing tasks and priorities.

Training and Development:

  • Programming training will be provided by the machine manufacturer for the right

  • A valid forklift license is beneficial but not essential.
